By keeping up-to-date with the latest dental technology and equipment, we not only provide better treatments, but we show our dedication to our profession and our patients. Our technologies allow us to be more precise, provide a more comfortable experience, and deliver quality results. Our advanced technologies also mean a more comprehensive care for you.

3D Cone Beam

Dental implants are the most cutting-edge therapy available for the replacement of missing teeth.

In order to provide the highest quality of implant placement results, we use a CBCT Scan which is a cutting-edge alternative to the traditional CT scan and an incredible improvement to the traditional dental x-ray.

This machine takes 3-D and digital panoramic images of your mouth, allowing us to monitoring growth and diagnose problems before they become problems. With the CBCT Scanner, we are able to perform procedures with an accuracy that yields the best results. Implant therapy is also more predictable and more precise than ever before.

CEREC

CEREC is an acronym for CEramic REConstruction and utilizes CAD/CAM technology. After shaping the tooth, we use a blue light camera to image the tooth and any surrounding teeth.

Using a powerful 3D compatible computer system, a restoration is designed and then milled from medical-grade porcelain in less than ten minutes. After polishing the porcelain, it is then bonded to the tooth using a composite resin material. The result is a restoration that is durable and beautiful.

Crowns may be used to:

  • Replace a large filling when there is little tooth structure remaining
  • Protect a weak tooth from fracturing
  • Restore a fractured tooth
  • Attach a bridge
  • Cover a dental implant
  • Cover a discolored or poorly-shaped tooth
  • Cover a tooth that has had root canal treatment

DIAGNOdent

While dentists are trained to detect cavities in a variety of ways, poking, prodding, and even x-rays–don’t catch everything. Diagnosing cavities in the back of the mouth can also be difficult using traditional methods; studies even show that 50% of cavities are left undetected in these areas due to lack of proper equipment in most dental offices.

However, advanced technologies enable the location of these cavities and can put a stop to further decay. It’s devices like these that help us detect and treat cavities before they become a serious problem.

Laser dentistry

Laser dentistry is an important advancement in dental technology, treating a wide range of dental and cosmetic problems from cavities to gum disease. They are a strategic alternative to the common hand-held scalpel, drills, or other tools. Hard tissue lasers are used to repair cavities, remove old fillings, and prepare teeth for bonding. Soft tissue lasers are used on gum tissue.

Lasers can even be used for teeth whitening. Laser dentistry works by directing a focused energy beam onto problem areas and allows for efficient treatment of decayed teeth, enamel, and gums. The biggest benefit of laser dentistry, by far, is the ability to reduce pain and minimize the use of anesthetic. Our advanced technology makes dental procedures much more comfortable for you! Dental lasers have been approved by the Food and Drug Administration and are safe for both adults and children.

Panoramic x-ray

A panoramic x-ray provides a very broad view of teeth, upper and lower jaws, sinuses, jaw joints, and nasal areas. A Panoramic X-ray is designed to reveal impacted teeth, bone abnormalities, fractures, infections, cysts, and/or tumors.

A Panoramic X-ray can also provide information that other dental x-rays cannot. Based upon this information, we are able to provide you with an extremely accurate diagnosis and ensure you receive the proper dental care.

Digital x-rays

Digital radiography provides a detailed view of an individual tooth. Digital x-rays use an image capture device which translate your data image to our computers.

The result is a highly-detailed image of your tooth/teeth. We can then enhance the image’s contrast and resolution and other controls. This allows us to more easily diagnose dental problems and determine the very best treatment for each case.

Electronic Claims

Summit Dental utilizes electronic claims processing. This means that we are able to submit a dental claim to an insurance company with the click of a button.

This allows for information to be communicated more efficiently and with fewer errors and our patient’s benefit immensely by faster turn-around times on claims and pre-authorizations. We are happy to submit any dental claims to your insurance company on your behalf. Please let us know if you have any questions about the e-claim process and we are happy to help.

Intraoral camera

By utilizing a microscopic camera, we are able to digitally zoom and photograph cracked teeth, problem areas on gums, and other dental needs. The full-color images are sent to a computer in the operatory which allows you to easily see what is going on in your mouth. This technology also allows patients to see the before, during, and after photos of their treatment process.

Paperless charting

Paperless charting means more efficiency and more accuracy and saves patients time. We use robust computer softwares to record your x-rays and patient charting electronically.

This allows us to standardize charting methods, view up-to-date information, and keep records accurate and secure. When needed, this also allows us to more easily share relevant information with healthcare providers.

Patient education

You deserve to be in the loop when it comes to your dental care. There are a variety of computer programs available to help patients better understand conditions, procedures, and treatment options.

Our office invests in patient education software because we want you to feel confident in every dental decision you make. This investment helps us clearly communicate—and it helps our patients learn more and feel more comfortable with their dentistry.
