Invisalign

An attractive alternative to traditional metal braces.

How does Invisalign treatment work?

Invisalign is a series of clear, custom-fit removable aligners that apply a controlled amount of force to your teeth, slowly straightening them. The system provides the same beautiful results as traditional braces but is virtually invisible. Because Invisalign® aligners are removable, they can be taken out while eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing.

The first step in the process involves a visit to our orthodontist, who will create a 3-D image of your mouth and jaw. They’ll use this image to put together a plan for moving your teeth into their proper place.

You will switch aligners every two weeks to slowly shift your teeth. The system requires a visit to our office every six weeks so the treatment can be monitored. Once treatment is complete, you will likely be given a retainer to maintain your new, straight smile.

The cost varies according to the complexity of the case. Insurance policies generally cover Invisalign to the same extent that they cover traditional braces.

Invisalign is the brand name of a type of thin clear aligner used in orthodontic treatment. The aligner is made from a flexible thermoplastic material named SmartTrack. As the name suggests, this product is designed to make orthodontic treatment “less conspicuous,” as the American Association of Orthodontists puts it.

Although clear aligners may not be completely invisible, these clear coverings fit tightly over your teeth and are much less noticeable than the brackets and wires of traditional braces.

  • No guesswork: Straightens your teeth more predictably
  • Convenient: Clear aligners that are discreet and don’t interrupt your life
  • The right fit for you: Fits snugly around your teeth
